Nitra, a historical town in western Slovakia, was a the seat of prince Pribina {see planet (10293)} and center of the Nitra principality early in the ninth century. Its history is connected with the first Christian church on the territory of Slovakia, as well as with the introduction of the old Slavonic alphabet “hlaholika”. (M 43190) _ _.
