El Calafate is a city in Patagonia, Argentina. The name of the city is derived from a little bush called calafate, with yellow flowers and blue berries, which is widespread in the area. The city is located south of Lake Argentino, making it a ideal tourist attraction for viewing the great Perito Moreno glacier.
