Optician Dean Ketelsen (b. 1953), senior research specialist at the University of Arizona's Steward Mirror Laboratory, has supervised the fabrication of large telescope primaries since 1984. A past president of the Tucson Amateur Astronomy associates, he has organized the Grand Canyon Star Party since 1991.
