Vigo is one of the largest and most vibrant cities of Galicia. It is an active seaport on the Spanish Atlantic coast in a beautiful bay and has a large fishing fleet. The first discoverer of this minor planet was born in Vigo and began his interest in astronomy looking at its night sky.
