Named in honor of Miss Gertrud Margot Görsdorf (1915–1990), later Mrs. Zottmann. She was for some years in Berlin friend and schoolfellow of the German astronomer W. Gliese {see planet  (1823)} who proposed this name. (LDS) _ _.
