Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770–1831) is a very important philosopher of German idealism. The method and content of his thinking is the dialectic. He lectured at Jena {see planet (526)} during 1801–1807. He had great influence during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and many later philosophers refer to him. (M 41035) _ _.
