Andrea Argoli (1570-1657) was an astronomer, mathematician and physician who held the chair of mathematics in Padua, a few years after Galileo. He is famous for his astronomical ephemerides, well known and used by astronomers in his time, but he also wrote about medicine, supporting Harvey's theory of blood circulation.
