This member of the Hilda Group is named in honor of Liisi Oterma (1915–2001), astronomer at, and since 1971 director of, the Astronomical-Optical Institute at Turku. She is well known for her discoveries and observations of comets and minor planets and also for her work on their orbits. (M 3929) _ _.
