Wu Mengchao (b. 1922), academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is an expert and pioneer on hepatosurgery. He has established a unique system of liver surgery of China and led the development of hepatosurgery internationally. He won the China State Supreme Science and Technology Award in 2005.
