With a population of 78~000, Anan city is located in eastern Shikoku Island. The industrial zone in the coastal region of the city contains a large-scale power plant. Known as the “Town of light”, Anan has in recent years been known worldwide for its manufacture of luminescent material and light-emitting diodes.
