German composer Carl Orff (1895–1982), best known for his Carmina burana, developed music-pedagogic, rhythmic and tonal ideas with K. Maendler. Their “Orff-Instrumentarium” obtained international acceptance and, in 1961, the Orff Institute was founded and directed by him in Salzburg. (M 43047) _ _.
