Named in memory of Tanya Savicheva, a 12-year-old schoolgirl who perished during the 1941–1944 blockade of Leningrad. In her diary she made a record as her parents and other relatives died, one by one. Her last note was “... all the Savichev’s have died, Tanya is left alone”. (M 5283) _ _.
