Timothy Martin Heckman (b. 1951), an astrophysicist at Johns Hopkins University, is a highly cited researcher who has concentrated on the evolution of galaxies and supermassive black holes. A multi-wavelength observer, he was involved in development of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey and the Galaxy Evolution Explorer.
