The original meaning of this Latin word is “night work” (from lucubrum, meaning candle). Then it seems to have been extended to any laboriously earned study to overlabored work — and even to idle talk. In spite of this pejorative development the discoverer hopes that this naming will be welcomed by astronomical observers and theorists alike. (M 21130) _ _.
