Mario Rigutti (b. 1926) is an accomplished astronomer. He worked at the Arcetri Observatory, was president of the IAS, was chairman of the Solar Eclipses Working Group of the International Astronomical Union and was director of the Capodimonte Astronomical Observatory in Naples.
