Bruno Caccin (b. 1944) worked at Capodimonte Observatory in Naples for 15 years. In 1986 he became professor in astronomy at the University of Rome, Tor Vergata. His main scientific achievements are centered around radiative transportation in the sun and in various kind of stars, especially cepheids.
