Ai Guoxiang (b. 1938) is a solar astrophysicist, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and an Academician of TWAS. He was the first Director General of the National Astronomical Observatories, CAS, and served as Vice-President and President of IAU Commission 10 from 1994-2000.
