Tiramisu is a dessert whose recipe was invented at an unknown but ancient date in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northern Italy. Mascarpone, eggs, marsala, coffee, cocoa and biscuit are part of its composition. Annick Merlin, wife of the discoverer, suggested this name and is particularly skillful in the preparation of tiramisu.
