Piergiorgio Cusinato is an antique dealer who lives at Cortina d´Ampezzo. A keen amateur astronomer, in 1972 he founded the Astronomer Association of Cortina, of which he is the president. In 1973 he established the Astronomical Observatory of Col Druscié, together with his friend, the engineer Vittore Majoni.
