Junttura embodies the Finnish mentality to get things done, stubbornly and at all costs. As Väinö Linna's novel, Täälä pohjantähden alla (“Here under the north star”), put it, “In the beginning, there was the swamp, the hoe and Jussi”. Yet Jussi persisted and built a house. The name was suggested by K. Nousiainen.
