Named in honor of Howard Brewington, discoverer of four comets beginning in 1989. To improve his chances of making a find, he moved with his wife Trudy from South Carolina to the mountaintop town of Cloudcroft, New Mexico, and built an observatory to house his homebuilt telescopes. (M 24918) _ _.
