Senftenberg (now Žamberk) is where two comets were discovered by Theodor Brorsen in 1851. It is a pleasant market-town located at the foot of the Orlické mountains in eastern Bohemia. It is the birthplace of Prokop Diviš, astronomer August Seydler and surgeon Eduard Albert.
