German astronomer Johann M. Dorschner (b. 1939) researched and lectured at the Astrophysical Institute of the University of Jena. His main research field was interstellar and circumstellar dust. He established the Jena laboratory astrophysics branch. The name was suggested by the first discoverer.


Discovered on 12-9-1991 in Tautenburg by Borngen, F., Schmadel, L. D.
