The `Akikiki (Oreomystis bairdi), or Kaua`i creeper, is a critically endangered Hawaiian honeycreeper, now found only in high-elevation rainforests on Kaua`i. Name suggested by Indian high-school teacher P. Vaithyanathan, on the occasion of the 2015 IAU General Assembly.
