Zhangjiajie, situated in the northwest of Hunan province, is known for its unique tourist and natural resources. It contains the First National Forest Park and one of China's eight UNESCO-listed geoparks, where the “forest” of thousands of extremely steep sandstone peaks is rare in the world.
