Mercury turns retrograde at 24 degrees Capricorn, beginning a three-week rewind. If retrogrades are a receptive phase, a time to reflect and reevaluate, how will we see things differently? Mercury in Capricorn asks us to be the master of our choices.

Being the master of our choices isn’t easy. It takes an internal search. This is a mastery also built upon the wisdom of knowing right from wrong as well as how our choices and decisions impact others going into the future.

In Capricorn, Mercury is exacting and precise. At least that’s the idea. Supported by Saturn, Mercury has to work hard to find its voices and to communicate with authority. It’s a long journey and sometimes Mercury in Capricorn doubts what it has to say or can be overly critical, especially on itself.

This is our work over the next three weeks. One, to find our voices and their authority. Two, to cultivate the wisdom to make the right choices and understand how our choices impact others. Three, use criticism constructively.

Mercury turns direct at 8 Capricorn on January 18 and leaves Capricorn on February 11, 2023.
