Taurus Horoscope December 2022
Money is under the cosmic spotlight as the month begins with a host of planets moving through Sagittarius and your joint finance sector. Talk planet Mercury is here until the 6th, your ruling planet Venus is here until the 10th and the Sun is in Sagittarius until the 21st.
It’s a positive period to focus on money and look ahead. Sagittarius is a visionary star sign, ideal for long-term planning. At its best, this is a period when you could receive a gift or bonus. Or, perhaps you have a big dream about improving your wealth or attracting abundance into your life.
Gemini Full Moon
The peak period for money matters is the 8th when there’s a Full Moon cutting across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of the zodiac and the financial axis of your horoscope. A Full Moon can be a time of clarity or illumination when the Moon’s at its brightest.
Leading up to and during this Full Moon, however, retrograde Mars is in feisty mood. On the 1st, Mars opposes your ruler Venus. Plus, on the day of the Full Moon, Mars opposes the Sun and sits in a tight conjunction next to the Moon.
Emotions are always heightened during the Full Moon period but this feels dramatic. You could end up in an argument over money, perhaps with someone close to you. Be wary of scams or fraud during this period and hold tight to your hard-earned cash. Mars retrograde in Gemini has a sneaky feel about it, an element of the trickster.
As a Sun Taurus, you have oodles of common sense and down-to-earth practical ability. Therefore, keep hold of your earth sign nature and don’t give into bullying tactics around money. It’s not the best time to mix money with friendship.
Get expert advice where necessary and be savvy around spending. If you’re in the mood to be generous, give generously. If you’re in a position where you need to rein in your spending, be firm about your budget on the run-up to the festive period.
The Bigger Picture
This is a good month, however, to focus your gaze on 2023. This is because of the emphasis on your fellow earth sign of Capricorn. It may feel easier once the inner planets move into Capricorn, especially your ruler Venus on the 10th. This is a good time to work on your long-term goals and line up some new adventures for the year ahead.
Venus in Capricorn is about the bigger picture in life and travelling far and wide to seek fulfilment or knowledge. It’s about discovering your purpose and what gives your life meaning. Draw up a wish list for 2023, consider your qualifications and what you want to learn or know more about.
The Sun joins the inner planets Mercury & Venus in Capricorn on the 21st, the day of the Solstice. Plus two days later, there’s a New Moon in Capricorn on the 23rd, an ideal time to set your intentions or set off on a journey.
The peak date could be the 22nd which may bring a lovely surprise your way when Venus aligns with the planet of surprises Uranus in your star sign Taurus.
Jupiter Joy
Big planet Jupiter is also on the move this month entering fire sign Aries on the 20th. Jupiter’s already been in this sector of your horoscope from May 10th to October 28th and will remain here until May 16, 2023.
Jupiter’s move into Aries turns your attention to the most hidden sector of your horoscope. This is your opportunity to focus on your inner world, develop your spirituality, your trust and faith in life and the universe.
You may see more clearly the connection between mind, body and spirit. You could benefit by going on retreat or allowing more silence and solitude into your life. Quiet times may be nourishing and nurturing for you.
This could be a peak time for self-care or caring for others. Notice what happens on or around the 20th when Jupiter changes star sign. Also, the 29th, when there’s a lucky Moon/Jupiter conjunction in Aries. This lovely pairing will be visible in the night sky and the perfect time to make a wish.
Mercury Retrograde
Finally, communication planet Mercury turns retrograde on the 29th and remains on go slow until January 18, 2023. Therefore, as much as you might want to leap into new beginnings at the start of 2023, you’re wise to pace yourself.
Mercury turns retrograde in Capricorn ruling travel and study in your horoscope. Therefore, you’re wise to get visas and paperwork sorted out for before Mercury switches direction. You may have to be extra flexible if you’re travelling or studying.
Travel may not be straightforward during this period, even if you are venturing out into the world. Double check everything and be willing to rethink or revise your options if necessary.
You can, however, use the Mercury retrograde phase to find inspiration and take time out from your routine. It could be a vivid time for dreams and journalling, learning and exploration. Explore philosophy, religion, spirituality, magic or mysticism and find your muse.
A lovely way to spend this Mercury retrograde phase is to go on holiday or on retreat, a similar vibe to Jupiter’s move into the most hidden sector of your horoscope.
Mercury also teams up with Neptune in Pisces over the festive period, a lovely symbol for forgiveness and celebrating with your dearest friends. And, as Mercury switches direction, it does so conjunct your ruling planet Venus. Someone may step in to help you. Or, perhaps love has a foreign feel.
